> As part of our complete management of solid waste streams, we design, build, own and operate various styles of transfer stations, generally developed to suit the environment within which they operate.

Our transfer stations and resource recovery centres facilitate the disposal, recovery and recycling of a range of materials. Our transfer stations function as drop off points for residential waste, commercial and industrial waste, green waste and kerbside collection waste.

Transfer stations are instrumental in processing materials for recycling and reuse and help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. A range of materials are recycled and reused from our transfer stations, including:

  • Construction and demolition waste
  • Green waste and organics
  • Metals
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Batteries
  • Clean fill
  • Other dry recyclables

Transfer stations also function as an efficient and cost effective method of receiving, sorting, consolidating and transporting residual waste materials to distant landfill disposal sites. We own and operate a fleet of transfer vehicles to efficiently transport residual waste materials to our landfill sites.

Our transfer stations utilise best practise environmental protection measures including littler and odour control and clean water management techniques.
