> Transpacific Cleanaway’s education programs encourage students to take home what they learnt at school and to share the message of environmental sustainability with their families.

There are many simple things you can do as a family to make a real difference to your local environment.

Knowing the materials your local council accepts for recycling, teaching kids the correct bins to use for waste and recycling, reducing your household waste and not placing contaminated items in your recycling bin all contributes to reducing our impact on the environment. Children are the environmental change agents of the future and we are the key to their success.

Children whose parents model correct waste minimisation and recycling behaviours are more likely to practise them as they get older. Encouraging kids to take responsibility in doing the right thing to reduce waste and increase recycling can positively affect children’s attitudes and behaviours as they grow up.

Please check with your council to find out the items that you can recycle in your local area.
